The southwest monsoon has advanced into several divisions, including Barisal, Chittagong, Sylhet, Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Rangpur. These areas are experiencing light to moderate rain and thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds. Some regions may witness moderate to very heavy rainfall.

• Friday, May 30: Expect light to moderate rain and thundershowers with gusty winds in most parts of Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions. Some areas may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall.
• Saturday, May 31: Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely in most parts of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions, with many areas in Dhaka, Barisal, and Khulna divisions also affected.
• Sunday, June 1: Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected in many places in Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, and in some parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barisal divisions.
• Monday, June 2: Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely in some areas of Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, and in isolated places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barisal divisions.

Coastal Flooding Concerns

Coastal regions are experiencing flooding due to heavy rainfall and tidal surges. Areas such as Chittagong, Noakhali, Laxmipur, Feni, Chandpur, Bhola, Barguna, Patuakhali, Barisal, Pirojpur, Jhalokati, Bagerhat, Khulna, and Satkhira have been submerged by tidal waves ranging from 1 to 3 feet.
